Pilot Car Products and oversizeloadsign.net were started when a pilot car company requested that Blazing Technologies, Inc. design and build an OVERSIZE LOAD sign that they could not purchase elsewhere.

This customer was tired of driving with signs that caused their fuel milage to skyrocket because all of the signs on the market, when installed on a vehicle, acted as a large sail causing enormous amounts of drag. BTI built these signs and as the story goes, somebody saw these signs and wanted BTI to build them one; and then another and another. We decided to build a web site to sell them and now we have sold BTI OSL signs to 42 of the 50 states.
